POLICE in Kano state have succeeded in arresting a group of some drug dealers who Specializes in buying, Selling and Supplying drugs and other dangerous intoxicating substance from Onitsa in Anambra state to Kano in order to make brisk business.
parading the suspects before the Press at the Police headquarters in Bompai CP Sama’ila Shu’aibu Dikko, said the operation was possible through Operation Puff Adder led by SP Buba Yusuf who arrested the suspects and brought them to face the wrath of the law.
The team after receiving instructions from the Police Commissioner swiftly swung in to action and following a sustained follow-up and credible information recieved, on the 20/12/2021 one Rabi’u Idris, 22 years old, Abdullahi Muhammad, 20 years old, and Sanusi Sani, 23 years old, all of Safana local government area of Katsina State were arrested in possession of large quantity of suspected illicit drugs.
The drugs according to the Police Command Tramadol Tablets, Exol Tablets and Diazapham Tabs. Money, Cash, sum of One Hundred and Fifty Thousand, Six Hundred Naira (N150,600:00) in denominations of N50s, N500s and N1000s proceeds from the sales of the illicit drugs were recovered from them.
On preliminary investigation, the suspects confessed of being drug dealers. And that, they use to supply the drugs from Onitsha, transport and sell it in Kano State.
They further confessed to have purposely came to Kano from Katsina State for illicit drugs business.
The Commissioner of Police ordered for discreet investigation and warn that, criminals will have no hiding place in Kano State. They are advice to either repent or leave the State completely. Or
Otherwise, they will be arrested and face the full wrath of the Law.
He thanked the good people of Kano State for their prayers, encouragement, continuous support and cooperation.
He urged residents to continue to pray for the State, the nation and report incidences to the nearest Police Station and not to take laws into their hands.
He said his men will embark on rigorous patrol and raids of criminal hideouts and black spots will continue throughout the State, as the Command will sustain the ongoing “Operation Puff Adder” for the collective good of all.
