AS Edo people begin the search for a successor to the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki in November, 2024, stakeholders in the Edo State project have started outlining the qualities and calibre of the person they would want for the occupier of the exalted office.
Among such qualities are the persons’ humane disposition and commitment to service , who will run the government with human face, a bridge between the youths and the elderly with enough energy to withstand the rigours of governance , ability to prudently manage the state’s resources without dipping his hands into the Edo State public till, and a detribalised person who sees the whole Edo State as his home.
After a cursory look at the qualities the people are looking out for in the next Governor of Edo State, one would be tempted to say that “Maybe the people took only the attributes inherent in (Dr) Dorry Afe Efosa Okojie to draft the qualities they require of the next occupant of Dennis Osadebey Avenue in Benin City”.
That’s why it has become imperative for all Edo people to lend their support for his emergence as Governor of Edo State, come 2024.
