We Will Shock Oshiomhole on Election Day – Chief Tom Ikimi

FREEPRESS – Former Minister of Foreign Affairs and member Board of Trustees of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Tom Ikimi, Sunday expressed optimism that the opposition party will win the governorship election in the state, irrespective of the postponement by the INEC.

He said the party will garner massive votes to cripple and shock the ruling APC magnitude of votes and its leadership cannot contemplate contesting the outcome of the exercise on September 28.

Chief Ikimi, who stated this while addressing newsmen in Benin the state capital, said the new date for the governorship election guarantees security for all and so voters will be better assured that they can go out and exercise their franchise to, ‘change the change’.

According to him: “There is nothing to fear. The security is good everywhere. The leadership of our party is equal to the task and we shall win these elections resoundingly. The level of winning will be such that APC will not be able to contest the victory”.

Ikimi added: “We are now at the threshold of the election. We brought Oshiomhole seven and a half years ago and we are now determined that Oshiomhole should give way for Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu as his successor.”
