Gov Yusuf Suspends Kano TV Station’s MD Over Alleged Misappropriation

Kano Gov. Appoints New 57 SSAs, 44 Social Media Aides

GOVERNOR Abba Kabir Yusuf’s government in Kano State has suspended Mustapha Indabawa, the Managing Director (MD) of Abubakar Rimi Television.

The government has since appointed Hajiya Hauwa Ibrahim as the acting managing director of the television station.

Trojan News understands that the official letter of appointment for Ibrahim, dated May 27, 2024, was signed by Abdullahi Baffa Bichi, the secretary to the state government.

The letter instructs Ibrahim to assume her new role immediately.

Prior to this appointment, Ibrahim served as the deputy managing director of the television station.

It is worth noting that the Kano State Government has filed seven charges, including criminal conspiracy, misappropriation, and diversion of funds, against the suspended MD and Staff Officer, Ibrahim M. Bello.

These charges were brought forth following an investigation by the state anti-corruption commission, which was initiated after a petition was submitted to the state governor regarding the embattled MD.
