VIOLENCE engulfed the National Stadium, Abuja, after the Super Eagles of Nigeria were denied a ticket to Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup by Ghana.
The Super Eagles crashed out after playing a 1-1 draw at the stadium.
The result qualified the Black Star of Ghana on an away goal advantage.
This, however, infuriated the fans the stadium.
The fans vandalised many of the facilities in the stadium.
Their action forced security men to respond with tear gas which was shot severally to keep the angry protesters in check.
Both teams had played goalless draw on Friday in the first leg of the playoff at the Ohene Djan Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
