Edo 2024: Shaibu Deserves Our Pity Over His Lamentation On The Choice Of Ogie As PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate

By Chris Akahome

IN what look like self abnegation and obvious self deprecation, a video clip emerged yesterday of the embattled and impeached former deputy governor of Edo State, Philip Shaibu, where he was seen impinging on the age and the integrity of Barrister Osarodion Ogie, the Secretary to the State Government and deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic Party to Barrister Asue Ighodalo.

In the video Shaibu said he was deputy governor at age 44 while Osarodion Ogie Esq is happy being nominated for deputy governorship candidate of the PDP at 66 years of age.

Omorodion Kadiri, Asue Ighodalo’s Diaspora Media Director based in United Kingdom lampooned Philip Shaibu for further defaming himself when he said that Osarodion Ogie talked about never being involved in scandal all through his political career as former Chief of Staff, former Commissioner and as Secretary to the State Government, SSG.

Shaibu reportedly promised to open a chapter of scandal on the open-minded, easy going and thoroughbred humanist whose entire life in public service remained an intrepid tribune and a dealer in hope for Edo State people, Omorodion said.

“The disgraced former deputy governor of Edo State in the person of Philip Shaibu deserves our collective pity as a known betrayal whose vaunty ambition led to the ruination of his entire political career.

“Clutching at every available straw to stay afloat is the business of alarmists and of course, Philip Shaibu can’t be prevented from crying wolf where non exists”, Mr Omorodion said.
