- As PDP alleges massive intimidation of voters

FOLLOWING the peaceful conduct of the Borno State House of Assembly Bye- Election for Chibok local government area (State Constituency) due to the demise of Hon. Nuhu Clerk, the Deputy National Chairman (DNC) North of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Hon. Ali Bukar Dalori has expressed optimism that his party will record massive victory against the main opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
This is even as the Borno state Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Mr. Amos Adziba in an interview, decried massive intimidation of voters by some compromised security agencies.
He regretted that Chibok which has remained under series of attacks without confrontation even in December last year and the massacre of innocent civilians in January this year will witness uncountable number of security agencies in the name of Assembly Bye- election.
Recall that the Deputy Governor, Umar Usman Kadafur, the DNC, Hon Dalori, former and serving Commissioners, Chairmen of some many local government areas were deployed to Chibok two days to the election to ensure victory, as Chibok has predominantly PDP members and supporters.
Dalori who spoke in an interview with our Correspondent said, “I am really satisfied with the large turn out and the manner voters conducted themselves throughout the exercise.
” I want to commend our security agencies and the INEC officials, as well as the people of Chibok for allowing the process to be peaceful, credible and transparent.
” I am just coming from some of the polling units and I can tell you that I am optimistic that our great Party, the APC will sweep all the votes”. Dalori stated.
Meanwhile, the PDP Publicity Secretary, Mr. Amos Adziba while reacting to the exercise said, “There were heavy Security agencies brought by the Borno State Government under the Leadership of Governor Babagana Zulum to intimidate the Chibok Community so as to force a Candidate against their WILL in the Bye-Election of Chibok House of Assembly.
“Could you know that only in Chibok local government headquarter that these people allowed counting of votes, while all other places were hijacked?
“The exercise today is forcing relocation of Casted Votes which have not been counted, recorded as per polling unit and and Ward collation Centers.
” We’re please soliciting for Security Chiefs to Come to our Aid as one of our Returning Officer Hon. Jantiku Mangzha have been arrested and detain and many of our supporters were maltreated in the following populated Wards such as Kautikari Ward, Gatamarwa Ward, Mbalala Ward and Mboa Kura Ward
“The law stated clear that no result of election shall be declared outside it’s CONSTITUENCY.
“We reject ALL Results that does not comply with the Electoral Law!!!
“The Impunity of APC Government in Borno State have escalated to Anarchy instead of Democracy.” Adziba lamented
