ANOTHER mysterious fire outbreaks have occured in a popular Gamboru and Customs general market leaving property worth millions of naira destroyed, even as the number of casualties are yet to be ascertained at press time.
The two affected markets have witnessed series of fire incidences, after the Main Maiduguri International Monday Market was consumed by fire during the 2023 general elections, in which, property worth billions of naira were destroyed, before government and other philanthropic organizations and individuals donated funds for rehabilitation.
This incident is coming barely three days when Borno State Government through it’s Commissioner of Information and Internal Security, Professor Usman Tar issued a press statement alleging that some Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) were conniving with some Non -Governmental Organizations, NGOs setting ablaze designated camps in Borno and it’s environs.
The sources and other information gathered from social media indicated that the wield fire inferno whixh started at about 10pm.on Wednesday have caused panic as trader and buyers ran helter skelta for their dear lives.
