APC Guber Hunt: Agba Tells Supporters That March To Osadebe Avenue Continues

●Says Prof. Julius Ihonvbere-led committee screening report in his favour

●Committee members have returned to their respective locations; there is no indication of any further committee to investigate list-he declares

IMMEDIATE past minister of state for Budget and National Planning and frontline governorship aspirant in the Edo 2024 governorship elections, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (A.P.C), Prince Clem Ikanade Agba, on Monday morning [22nd January, 2024] reassured his teeming supporters that their march to Osadebe Avenue [Guverbnet House] in Benin continued.

Agba, in a message that was solemn, pacific, yet emphatic, which he personally signed, cleared the air on the speculation that Edo North senatorial zone had been screened out if the racdcfir the APC guber ticket.

The rumour mill has gone on overdrive in the Edo political space in the last twenty four (24) hours.

But Agba, while acknowledging the committee and the purpose of the committee which was primarily to prune down the number of aspirants from twenty nine (29) to six (6) using certain laid down criteria, made it clear that the outcome of the screening was in his favour, as he made the list of final six (6) aspirants approved by the committee, before the relocation of members of the committee back to their various destinations.

He further emphasised that zoning of the ticket was never in the conversation by the Edo state chapter of the party, which was reiterated in a follow-up meeting with APC’s NWC on Monday, 15th January 2024.

He said that while the Prof. Julius Ihonvbere-led committee members had returned to their respective locations, there was no indication of any further committee to investigate the list.

Agba, however, implored his teeming supporters to disregard any contrary news circulating and “stand steadfast in our shared commitment.”
