AFCON 2024: Bright Prince, Spain-born Scottish striker, congratulates Super Eagles.

MOST senior Nigerian football team, the Super Eagles, have been commended for their strong team-spirit and triumphancy at reaching the finale in the ongoing African Football Cup of Nations (AFCON), having ousted their South African counterpart, the Bafana Bafana, following a titanic clash which spilled over to a highly tensioned penalty shoot out.

The remarks were made by Bright Osemudiamen Prince Okosun, who was born in Spain and of Nigerian descent, and a formidable striker with the Albion Rovers FC, a Scottish football club, where the Spanish-Nigerian citizen, who is best known in the field of play as the Bright Prince, currently plays.

Bright Prince, who had earlier played at the Academic top-levels in Spain and Germany, and now a student of Aeronautical Engineering in the University of Glasgow, United Kingdom, urged the team to strive harder in their final clash with the host Ivorian team, and bring home the trophy.
While he hailed the depth of expertise so far displayed by Coach Jose Peseiro and his crew, the youngstar also eulogised the determination and discipline of the Super Eagles players, particularly the coodinating role of Victor Osimhen, the reigning African Footballer of the Year, who had greatly assisted that of the team’s Captain, Ahmed Musa.

“It will be one of the greatest acts of patriotism that will gladden the hearts of Nigerians and football lovers if you all fight harder to bring the cup to Nigeria”.

Added the 18 years old striker, and had laced his boot for Yuncos CD, VFR Fischeln, Fortuna Dusseldorf and others before his present Scottish side, Albion Rovers Fc.
