A Female Suicide Bomber Tear To Pieces In Konduga As Soldiers Demand Monthly Allowance
FREEPRESS – A female suicide bomber in Konduga, Maiduguri was tore into pieces in an attend to detonate a bomb in a crowded market a few days ago.
An witness account revealed that luck ran out of the teenage terrorist when soldiers who suspected her to be carrying bomb sought and asked her to walk a long distance and strip herself naked.
The timed bomb strapped to her waist detonated in split seconds and cut her into half on the spot before she could loose it from her waist.
Soldiers Bemoan Lack of Allowance
One of the soldiers on the scene of the bomb blast bemoans the lack of care for the soldiers who have been fighting the terrorist militias with virtual bare hands and on an empty stomach.
“This is the fourth months that our allowance of thirty thousand naira (N30, 000) per month has not been paid, which is just one thousand naira (N1, 000) per day.
“While the terrorists are fighting us with modern weapons that can travel hundreds of kilometres and are feeding very well, we are constrained to using outdated ones that cannot travel any far distance. To make matter worse, no regular food for us.
“More than 800 soldiers are not being paid their operational allowance for four months and no reasons were given by the defaulting commanding officer. Though, the commanding officer on his own is trying to stamp out terrorists from Konduga and the entire Maiduguri, but the federal government has to play its own part”, the officer said annoyingly.
From all indications, the federal government under the leadership of president Muhammad Buhari has to balance the provision of military hardware and the provision of incentives for the fighting Nigeria military men on the battle field.
