THE Police on Tuesday arraigned three suspects: Mufutau Amuda, 45, Adewale Adedeji, 35 and Quadri Jimoh, 27, at an Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court, Ibadan, over an alleged unlawful possession of gun and cartridge.
The thro whose addresses were not provided were charged with conspiracy and unlawful possession of gun, to which they pleaded not guilty.
The Prosecutor, Insp Olalekan Adegbite, told the court that the defendants committed the offences on June 30, at about 9.30 a.m., at Iwo Road, Ibadan.
Adegbite said that the defendants unlawfully possessed one pump action gun and cartridge with the intent to commit felony.
He said the offences contravened Sections 516 and 417 of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000.
The Magistrate, Mrs Oluwabusayo Osho, granted the defendants bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two sureties each in like sum.
She adjourned the case until Aug. 12 for hearing.
