Patrick Eholor’s Foundation Charges Reps To Investigate Why Nigerians Are Labelled Money Launderers In China

THE House of Representatives Committee on Public Petition will on Tuesday, November 11th hear the One Love Foundation’s petition to know why all Nigerians are being labelled as money launderers by the Chinese.

One Love Foundation had in a petition to the Committee dated 3rd October sought for responses on some salient issues on Nigerians being labelled as money launderers in China.

In the petition signed by the President of the One Love Foundation, Chief Patrick Osagie Eholor he wants the House “to address a pressing issue which Nigeria citizens are currently facing in China.”

According to him when he recently visited China “for some business reasons and then I ran out of Chinese cash. I have to call in for some money. The money was sent via Western Union but I could not withdraw in Chinese Bank on the count that I am from Nigeria and Nigerians are in their black book under money laundering.”

Eholor’s prayers are that the House should investigate why Nigerians have been labelled as money launderers; is the House aware of this particular issue? What effort is the House making to resolve this speedily; Chinese ambassador to Nigeria should be invited by the House to make clarifications on the subject matter and why are the entire Nigerians in the black book under money laundering instead of some Nigerians who committed crime there?
