Koulibaly off to Chelsea
Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has linked up with his Napoli side at their training camp at Dimaro Folgarida camp for preseason.
Osimhen was terrific for the Partenopeans last season, scoring 18 goals in 32 appearances. And he has proven himself time and again that he could be reliable whenever he is on the pitch.
The Super Eagles star’s performances have attracted interest from some of the top teams in Europe. Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea, and Bayern Munich have all been linked with the 23-year-old hitman.
However, nothing concrete has materialized, especially as the Partenopeans are demanding in excess of €100 million.
Nonetheless, Osimhen does not seem affected by the transfer talks, as he reported for his first preseason training session on Tuesday at Dimaro Folgarida all smiles.
The Nigerian striker has been rather coy on revealing if he wants out of Naples. However, he remains open to leaving the club if a suitable deal comes.
Meanwhile, Osimhen’s teammate Kalidou Koulibaly flew out to London yesterday for his Chelsea medical, as the Napoli defender is ready to complete a €40m transfer.
The Senegal international was meant to join his Napoli teammates in their Dimaro pre-season retreat last night, but never made the journey.
Instead, he flew out this evening from Milan with agent Fali Ramadani, having agreed personal terms reportedly worth up to €10m per season.
Koulibaly had been with the Partenopei since leaving KRC Genk in 2014 and turned 31 last month.
