FREEPRESS – Report reaching us suggest that Oshiomhole may be planning a media invasion in a bid to hoodwink the people of Edo into believing his campaign for continuity and and support for Obaseki. Our source who was at the meeting confirmed that the media propaganda became necessary owing to Comrade Oshiomhole’s dwindling popularity and anti people’s policies.
He maintained that the strategy would be a double edged one. The first being to sell his candidate by ensuring that the message going to the media is well crafted to ignite hope of continuity in them and the second is to discredit the opposition candidate with every means possible in order to cast him in a bad light, thereby depreciating his electoral value. The source also added that Oshiomhole is in talks with a foreign PR company in a contract running into millions of dollars with the aim of replicating President Buhari successful Presidential media campaign in Edo. Bulk of the money would be used to launder the Party’s image, the source claimed. He also said all news media channel would be captured and monopolized including the Social media.
