GOOD evening sir. I wish to remind you that most of the people that resigned or were sacked from Obaseki’s government did so because they wanted Obaseki and Oshiomhole to settle their differences and for Obaseki to appreciate the efforts Oshiomhole made to make him governor under the APC.
But Philip Shaibu and his band of supporters said emphatic NO to reconciliation because Oshiomhole is not a good man and that he warned him against Obaseki in 2016 and Oshiomhole didnt listen.
He said so many things against Oshiomhole in 2020 and 2023 and he got re-elected under PDP. If Shaibu, after benefiting so much from the crisis is now coming through the back door in the name of Etsako agenda or father-son relationship, then those who were sacked or who resigned due to the crisis should also reconcile with Obaseki as they didn’t have personal issues with the Governor other than they wanted him to respect Oshiomhole. In politics nothing should be taken personal indeed…!
How can we forget the big party in government house when Oshiomhole was removed as APC national chairman and organized by Philip and others?
How can we forget the famous arrest him threat issued by Philip against Oshiomhole on live TV? Have you forgotten the burning of a vehicle in the front of Oshiomhole’s residence in GRA Benin by some thugs hired by Philip?
How can we forget how Philip lied to the whole world that Oshiomhole told him to get Obaseki impeached?
How can we forget the thugs sent to ransack the house of the former COS and the house of the former commissioner for environment when they resigned and all these criminals acts are traced to this same Nicodemus Philip.
Till date those guys including former commissioners, vice chairmen of councils and councilors, SSAs etc are still with Oshiomhole with or without appointment as they believe that Obaseki messed up big time politically not because they don’t like him as a person.
Some persons say there is no morality in politics but commonsense must be deployed. Oshiomhole has learnt alot of lessons and Philip Shaibu should not think it’s the same man he used to deceive those days.
Philip Shaibu should leave APC alone as we are used to life without him and his likes who abandoned the man who made them. There was no need for him attending an APC program in Abuja when his boss is swearing in commissioners in Edo state. We are tired of betrayals in Politics.
Look, this matter go loonngg.
Long live Oshiomhole long live APC. Philip Shaibu should go and get set to run for Governor under PDP and fight the Esans whom Obaseki promised to hand over to during his campaign in 2020 go and verify.
Finally since Philip Shaibu and others left for PDP over three years now, there has been a lot of peace, tranquility, solidarity and understanding within the APC fold while the hitherto peaceful PDP in Edo is regrettably in tatters. The world can now see for themselves.
