Hon. E. J while commending the children on their academic performance at the event said, “one cannot imagine a country without children as they are the foundation, pillar, and heartbeat of any nation as well as leaders of tomorrow. It is therefore important for us in Edo to pay proper attention children and their total development to have a sustainable tomorrow.
E.J said, an holistic approach is necessary to ensure the development of children. Adding that Children are vulnerable because of their immaturity and they are completely dependent on their parents and guardians for the basic necessities of life and the shaping of their directions in life. Both governments and parents have joint responsibilities to ensure the empowerment of children for a sustainable tomorrow.
He went further to state that children empowerment will continue to be his major priority by providing quality Education to underprivileged children and empowering women .
