Enugu: Chief Of Air Staff Lauds Gov. Peter Mbah On Improved Security

THE commendation for Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State on improved security of lives and property in the state was given by the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar.

He praised Mbah’s commitment to maintaining a good working relationship with the armed forces, which he believes will continue to bring enhanced peace and security in the South East region. Abubakar also highlighted the Nigeria Airforce’s efforts in reinforcing its operations for peace and security in the region.

In a separate assurance, Governor Mbah reiterated his administration’s commitment to partnering with the security forces for the security and stability of Enugu and the South East region. The Chief of the Air Staff presented the commendation during his visit to the governor at the Government House Enugu. He acknowledged Mbah’s vision and determination to eradicate poverty and applauded his efforts to make Enugu State a preferred destination for tourism, business, investment, and living.

The focus on poverty eradication and its link to criminal activity was emphasized, with the Air Chief praising Mbah’s plans to address poverty indices. Additionally, Mbah’s stance against illegal Monday sit-at-home orders and fake news purveyors on social media was commended. The governor emphasized the need to address insecurity in order to foster sustainable development, highlighting the government’s deliberate measures to create employment opportunities as a means to combat criminal activities.

Furthermore, while meeting with the participants of the Armed Forces Command and Staff College, Mbah discussed the implementation of a “Cut-Off Point” policy aimed at providing holistic education, including digital skills and moral education, to Enugu children from a young age to ensure they are equipped for responsible and gainful employment in the future.
