DEPUTY GOVERNOR REFUTES ALLEGATIONS OF ASSASSINATION AND RESTATES COMMITMENT AND LOYALTY TO GOV. OSHIOMHOLE
FREEPRESS — Despite efforts by his traducers to create a rift between him and his boss, the Deputy Governor of Edo state Dr Pius Egberanmwen Odubu has restated and reaffirmed his commitment and unalloyed loyalty to Governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole. To him, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole as a Governor has impacted so much on the state in terms of develop^ment. This is one thing that has endeared him strongly to the Governor and his leadership.
The Deputy Governor however lamented the desperation of some persons and Party leaders who have continuously acted against him and his interest, sometimes going all out to damage his unblemished working relationship with the Governor. He was reacting to speculations that he attempted to hurt the Governor at some point, another of their cooked up lies to create a hype and bad blood between him and the Governor. It is also very fresh of another allegation purportedly sold to the Comrade Governor about him, Deputy Governor threatening to deal with the Governor, which turned out to be a lie, noting that he has always been contented and satisfied working with the Governor as his Deputy and that nothing could be further from the truth. That the proponents of these classical imbroglio are nothing but scavengers hustling for their “belly” as their major objective.
The Deputy Governor reassured his teaming supporters that despite this effort geared towards scuttling his desire to serve the state as Governor, he was prepared and ready to contest the APC Primaries and hope to fly the Party’s Flag for the Governorship election in the state come September 10th, 2016.
He said he has informed his family and lawyers of the devilish plot by a certain leader who is undergoing treatment in the USA, for the purpose of seeking recompense from him for the damaged he has done to his (Deputy Governor) relationship with the Governor and for assassinating his personality and character. He wondered why people will resort to fabricating falsehood in order to obtain personal favour.
So far, all is set for the Deputy Governor to begin his tour of the 18 local Government of the State in order to woo the delegates to elect him as the Party’s candidate.
He said he was committed to consolidating on the achievements of this Administration and would lay emphasis on Agriculture, Wealth and Job creation and the encouragement of small and medium businesses (SME).
He assured that the party was well positioned to win the Poll in the forthcoming election and that nothing should make Edo people think of bringing back the PDP because of the ruins they left the state in when the party ran the state for almost ten years.
He spoke confidently that despite all efforts to set him up and malign his name by desperate politicians, he was prepared not to give up in his quest to lead the state into the next phase of meaningful and beneficial development. According to him, this is his core vision.
