APC’s Ganiu Audu; From the Poisoned Chalice.

Elempe Dele
“When the unrighteous are in power, their fellow party members suffer. That was the case of Adams Oshiomole when he was the APC National Chairman. Never in the history of any political party has a single man, a party member for that matter, overseen the destruction of his own party like Adams Oshiomole did before he was unceromonously removed from office.
History will recall how he oversaw the Bayelsa election where the APC victory was handed over to PDP on a platter of gold a day before the innuaguration of the supposed governor-elect. A five-member panel of the apex court led by Justice Mary Odili nullified the election of Mr Lyon on the grounds that his deputy, Biobarakuma Degi-Eremienyo, presented false information to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. Although we can excuse him for not being directly the cause of the misfortune, but we must put some of the blame on his doorsteps for not being rigorous in the investigation of the certificates of the deputy governor since he was aware APC members are notorious on matters of certificates and other fraudulent acts. Well, certificates don’t really matter to him because he seem not to have much of them.
Not done with that ill that infuriated most APC stalwarts, he again came to Edo State to choose, as a declining godfather in APC, a man, Ganiyu Audu, whom he knew had checkered  certificates issues, which were known to Hon. Kadirri. It was rumoured Oshiomole knew about it but again, like he did in Bayelsa, he foisted Audu on APC as the Poisoned Chalice.
Going forward, elements like Ganiyu Audu or what are his other numerous aliases, should not only be disqualified, they should be prosecuted and punished according to our electoral laws and other extant laws with their accomplices to discourage them from these malfeasances. Ganiu used this same fraudulent results to become two term chairman in Etsako and was also elected a member of the Edo House of Assembly in 2019 in an election th at ought to never have been, and money he was never have earned from taxpayers.
We would continue to Advocate for transparency in governance so that people with questionable characters would not find easy coming to the clean table of politics.”
