Another APC rigging plan botched, as civil societies warn politicians against rigging
FREEPRESS – Information reaching us indicate that the APC has introduced a ‘canvassers form’ with the sole aim of collecting sensitive details of potential voters using a bait of giving out loans.
The APC agents are asking voters to provide their voter card information thereby collecting the voter card details with the intention to send the details to China for cloning of the PVCs.
The PVCs of the unsuspecting persons would be cloned into duplicates so as to allow the APC to manipulate the outcome of the forthcoming gubernatorial elections coming up on September 10th.
This desperate move by the outgoing APC government/party in Edo is being hatched with strong collaboration by the Edo State Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to rig the September polls.
According to our inside sources who pleaded anonymity, the APC has perfected clandestine plans to clone these PVCs in China and Isreal hoping that the same strategy which they used to subtly rig in Godwin Obaseki in the June 18th APC primaries will also be deployed to influence the results of September 10th Polls.
This desperate and unlawful strategy, apparently, is borne out of a conviction by the APC that their nosediving and abysmal performance in office for the past 7 years and 9 months coupled with the fast growing popularity of the PDP and it’s gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu, will “truncate, diminish, plummet and eliminate the APC from Edo State”, borrowing the words of Prophet Ayere, the APC stalwart and sorcerer who was invited by the APC at their Uromi rally to curse the PDP but ended up cursing the APC, inadvertently.
A civil society organisation, Redemption Group, has called on INEC, the Police, the PDP and all civil society groups in Edo state to be vigilant and proactive in order to prevent any form of rigging or disruption of the forthcoming election.
Speaking with our correspondent on telephone, the Programme Director of Redemption Group, Ms Faith Okoro, called on Edo people not to disclose or sell their PVCs to any party agent.
“We are using this medium to advise Edo people never to be hoodwinked under any guise to sell their PVCs to anybody for #10,000 or any amount. Don’t sell your future and your birthright for stipends only to suffer the consequences for many years later. Vote your conscience. Report any intimidation to us or to the Police.” Ms Okoro said.
A popular Edo blogger and political activist, Mr Edoko Wilson Edoko, has charged the PDP not to lose guard on the many plans of the APC to compromise the September election.
“Eternal vigilance is the price for freedom. The PDP must not only prepare to win the September 2016 election, they should also prepare to defend their victory against theft by the other party.” Mr Edoko said.
