Engr FELIX Omokheobe Esemuze is a household name in Owan East and West due to his content of character, quality of thoughts, his unassuming nature as a public spirited individual with unassailable mindset and indomitable spirit. Little wonder that his joining Owan Federal Constituency race to represent his people on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is being celebrated across the twenty-two Local Government Areas with thunderous applause.
His imminent victory in this week primary election will be the best thing that has happened to a people who have been aspiring to be represented by a dynamic young turk, a versatile moving encyclopedia whose bond of affinity with his people can be likened to a siamese twins. His early contacts with the younger generation as a student union leader and activist and a defender of students rights at the Ambrose Alli University (AAU) signposted his leadership qualities early in life.
This uncommon exemplary leadership quality, struggle for a just and equitable society and studious commitment to workable democratic structures and its magisterial ethos are what stood Engr Felix Omokheobe out amongst the other contestants.
“Owan people have no other choice if they want to extricate themselves from the present darkness foisted on them by the person currently representing them in the House of Representatives.
“What should have been coming to Owan Federal Constituency are being diverted to Delta State for reasons unknown to us.
“We are convinced that Engr Felix in the National Assembly, because of his track record of fighting for his people and their rights would change the narratives and ensure that Owan people receive what’s due to them legitimately without being diverted elsewhere.
“Besides, we’re done with old people representing us because we’re not practicing gerontocratic democracy where old people continue to subordinate the vibrant youths”, Samson Aorhe, a PDP delegate from ward one, Ozalla in Owan West, told Trojan.com.ng correspondent.

What do I bring to the table? Yes, a lot of rhetorics are out there about what many can do but the questions begging for answers is how the intend to achieve them, that is not my case, above all things, I will bring to the table is the desired leadership capabilities and the ability to transform them to reality through courage which most politicians lack. Our areas of interest is economic development, youth empowerment and food security through agricultural development and the required security and the safety of our people and properties which has eluded our people for quite a long time now and solutions to these issues remains in the front burner of our programs as we speak.
YOUTH EMPOWERMENT
Like I rightly noted moments ago in a Previous Engagements Empowerment of our Youths are strong and visionary by every standard, to Me Giving Them Stipends Or Menial jobs that will but last for a short while is not the way to go, it’s more about securing a long term / permanent placements in jobs that can add value to their lives and help them bring up families of their own they would be proud of in the nearest future and these are for the certified graduates that abound in our dear Owan Federal Constituency all these can be achieved through facilitation and requisite lobby through various ministries and Government Agencies, this we are committed to.
For those without certification, I would introduce an aggressive skill acquisition which would end up in their graduation with reasonable start up grants that can actually start them up in life and transform them to enterpranure who will in turn increase production and market capacities in the Land.
Sometime ago, as political office holder sought my support and the only condition I gave them was an assurance they will help secure gainful employment for some of our unemployed graduates in our dear Federal Constituency. Today, am most elated to report to you that some were giving and are all doing wonderfully well in their various professions and are being great pillars of support to others.
FEDERAL PRESENCE
I Shall see to it that a Federal Medical Centre Is Brought To Owan Federal Constituency not on papers In My Time, For Health Is Wealth. There Shall Also Be A Conscious Rejuvenation Of The Cocoa Research Institute Of Nigeria. Not To Mention My Intended Aggressive Push For Federal Grants For Our Farmers To Encourage Mechanized Farming That Would Yield Better & More Produce. I shall through lobby ensure the facilitation and creation of three agricultural equipment leasing centers in each of the two LGA to help our farmers cultivate more land to ensure improvement in their economy and ensure adequate food security for the teaming population. We shall also ensure we talk to companies that require our product for food processing.
I Shall Also See To The Industrialization Of Our Federal Constituency By Siting Through Public Private Partnership Ventures, Furniture Factories And Cocoa Processing Factories.
EDUCATION
I Shall Take Education Away From The Very Sorry Approach The Federal Constituency Had Witnessed Overtime With The Very Cosmetic Building And Renovation Of As Few Blocks Of Classrooms As Has Been The Norm.
With Me, Education Shall Be Made Most Interesting With An Annual Scholarship Scheme Which Shall Be Earned Either By Way Of Academics Or Schools Sports. Instructional Materials, Free Bus Rides And Other Incentives Shall Be Made Available To Encourage Our Children To Go Back To School. Various Competitions Shall Be Organized To Help Make Reading A Habit Of Our Dear Children. These And Others Am Unable To Mention Due To Time Constraint I Believe Shall Improve The Standard Of Education In The Constituency.
SECURITY & SPORTS
The Youths Would Form The nexus Of Our Approach In These Sectors. Aside Coming Up With A Security Trust Fund To Help Properly Kit Our Policemen, The Various Communities Shall Have Youths/ Vigilantes Employed To Work With The Police Force In Protecting Lives And Properties. The Traditional Institution Shall Not Be Left Out As The Security Department Of My Constituency Office Shall Constantly Consult Them On Security Issues In Each Community Periodically.
ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
This economic development is dear to the continuous survival of our people who are majorly peasant farmers and petty traders, the question is how will they be ok, when the process of buying their goods and services are moribund in every aspect, they work tirelessly but earn peanuts from such noble efforts, that is exactly why we are interested in creation of the enabling environment for them to maximize their takw home by ensuring a structured system that will prevent the continuous exploitations of their noble efforts.
Make no mistakes the is not the time for Politics but the time for reality, another four years of reality stares straight into our face, what we make of it now will be the new narrative, otherwise we shall continue to wallow in darkness as it has remained the case with the order that has provided us with nothing but pains and complaints.
I humbly ask for your Nomination in PDP for the house of representatives for Owan Federal Constituency to change our narratives for the better.
