Tinubu: Christian Group Condemns Oshiomhole, Says “He’s Major Supervisor In Nigeria’s Islamization Agenda
THE Northern Christian Youth Association has expressed concern about the role Mr. Adams Oshiomhole is playing in the Islamization of the Southern Nigeria, saying that, his present pro-north activities are not new.
The group reaction is sequel to interviews that the former governor of Edo State, and disgraced national chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has granted to some news channels.
In their a release sent to Midwest Herald, the group accused Oshiomhole of being a “major supervisor in the slave market of the Islamization agenda by the north and a traitor to the south.
It will be recalled that APC Senatorial candidate in Edo North was quoted by one newspaper that” Nigeria won’t be at this level of poverty if the number of churches, mosques, equal factories.
“The more opposition party joined the Muslim-Muslim debate, the more am satisfied that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu’s decision is right.
“We need courage. We have struggled to balance this religious issues in recent years.
“Tinubu’s decision shows that he will take bold step when elected.
“If the number of churches and mosques we have built over the years is equal to the number of factories, we won’t be at this poverty level in the country.
“We can’t continue with business as usual. I am satisfied with the quality of Shettima.
“He his well-read and well-exposed. He is well ‘awarded’ both home and abroad.
“We should spend time interrogating the personality, competence of Tinubu’s nominee.
“Soon, pagans will organise themselves to say otherwise too.
“It is a balanced ticket; balanced ticket in terms of competence, and their antecedents. The opposition party are threatened by this bold decision because they are sensing defeat.” Adams Oshiomhole reportedly said.
It’s however an irony that Oshiomhole that closed all the factories in Edo State, when he assumed office in 2008, will be comparing the ongoing attacks on churches and christians across the country to Senator Kashim Shettima’s ticket.
Before 2008, Edo State had Bendel Brewery, Okpilla Cement Factory, Edoline Transport Company, Edoline Courier Services, Edo Fertilizer factory and Edo State Chemical Company, amongst others. Oshiomhole either left the factories to die or refused to complete the ongoing ones, like the Ehor fruit juice factory and the Cassavita factory in Uromi, Edo State.
