Southern Kaduna People To Fight For Fairness, Equity, Justice

THE Southern Kaduna people have expressed their determination towards fighting a just course that will ensure fairness, equity and justice despite the present security and other challenges confronting the area.

The acting National President of Southern Kaduna People Union (SOKAPU), Mr. Aweni Dio Maisamari expressed optimism that it is only in the atmosphere of justice and togetherness that any society could move forward.

Speaking when he took over the affairs of the union in Kaduna on Tuesday, the acting National President stated that at this period when the country was going through so many challenges, the people of Southern Kaduna and Nigerians should embrace one another for survival, believing that it is only in unity that any battle could be won.

He noted that the incessant attacks going on in many parts of the area needed collective efforts of the people to resist every attempt to continue killing and destroying valuables, assuring that the union would continue working towards the sustenance of understanding and peaceful coexistence among the various groups in the area.

According to the acting National President, “Our togetherness is the weapon we need at this critical moment in our history to stand against enemies of progress and ensure we unite ourselves irrespective of any difference,” he said.

He assured that he would work hard with his team towards ensuring a better Southern Kaduna that would stand the test of time by resisting any attempt by external forces to cause division among the diverse people in the area.

The outgoing National President, Comrade Jonathan Asake, thanked the people for supporting his leadership and prayed that stakeholders and other people would support the new leadership towards ensuring a better Southern Kaduna where peace, unity, understanding and progress would be attained.
