Professor Sunday Olowo Appointed As New Acting VC, Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma
Professor. Sunday Olowo Samuel has been sworn in as the new acting vice chancellor of Ambrose Alli University Ekpoma, in charge of revitalizing the operations of the university’s system to meet the required standard.
Reports gathered that the new acting vice chancellor who took over from Prof. Asomwan Sonnie Adagbonyin was the provost of the College of Medicine at the university.
During the swearing-in ceremony, the pro-chancellor and chairman of the governing council of Ambrose Alli University, Dr. Frank Odafen, played a pivotal role in charging the new acting vice-chancellor.
He emphasized that the change in leadership is to inject new life into the university system so as to remain relevant in the Nigerian tertiary education landscape.
The newly appointed acting vice chancellor, Prof. Sunday Olowo Samuel, pledged to collaborate with the institution’s stakeholders to drive growth and development.
Prof. Asomwan Sonnie Adagbonyin, while handing over the university affairs to the new Ag.VC thanked the state governor, Mr Godwin Obaseki, for the opportunity to serve in such a capacity.
