EDO State Commissioner of police Mr Abutu Yaro has confirmed the arrest of Clement Goubadia alias Babuze who killed one Mr Frank Efeiri two months ago to Trojan.com.ng reporter in Benin City.
Police intelligent team headed by SP Godspower Osagie smoked out the suspected land grabber and murderer in his hideout in Iguomo community.
Babuze has been terrorising Ikhuenobo community and the entire State for several years before his sudden arrest yesterday.
The Police Commissioner told our correspondent that the criminal suspect and his collaborators would be prosecuted swiftly, noting that Edo State can’t be beholden to crime disperser from others neighbouring states.
“I can confirm to you that Clement Goubadia alias Babuze has been arrested by the police authority.
“Those who have criminal reports about him should step forward so as to widen the scope of investigation on him for immediate prosecution.
Eyewitness account revealed that Babuze who has been using Edo State Vigilante Group as cover to commit heinous crimes ordered the Vigilante Boys who has been protecting him to open fire on the police operatives.
Several reports revealed that a large chunk of the Vigilante Boys are cultists and criminal elements who found their way into the Vigilante Group as compensation for furnishing violence on behalf of the State Government during elections against political opponents.
