Bala urged the management of the institution to ensure that quality education is provided to the students.

“As I used to say, no nation will achieve meaningful development without sound education. Quality Education is very important to the growth and development of any nation,” he said

Bala said that the visit was not to witch-hunt anybody but to assess the institution’s 2024 budget  performance.

The chairman appreciated Gov. Sule for funding the education sector in the state and called for its sustenance.

“Our earnest gratitude goes to Gov. Abdullahi Sule for his passion in taking the education sector to greater heights in the state,” he said.

The chairman assured of the committee’s continuous support to the institution to succeed.

Earlier, Dr Jonathan Thani, the Provost, commended the committee for the support the college was enjoying from it.

He also thanked Sule for his efforts in funding the school and called for more in that direction.

“We are doing our best in ensuring academic excellence in this institution,” Thani said.

He said that the institution was discussing with the Nasarawa University Keffi on an affiliation to run 20 degree programmes.

The provost disclosed that there was an ongoing renovation of hostels and rehabilitation of water projects, among other projects in the institution.

Thani enumerated some of the challenges facing the school to include augmentation of salary payment, gratuity and casual staff among others. (NAN)
