SOMETIMES in 2010, I chanced upon this dubious human wreckage and a gun running land grabber at a birthday party in Benin, where he gleefully paraded Pump Action gun, proudly and shamelessly.
Days later, my phone rang, pleading for me to stand surety for him, Ultimate Equal, at the Office of the AIG Zone 5, Nigeria Police Force, in the middle of the night. I did reluctantly but not without wasting N350,000 (Three Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira) which he has refused to pay back to date.
But intrusively, in the ways of social deviants, the local and inordinate ruffian that Ultimate Equal has been all his life, he remained a damp like the chameleon feces whose stench refuses to go away, however it’s deodorized. He’s either docked for land grabbing cases all over the state or impishly mimicking civility in the name of activism.
I’m however familiar with his antics as a degenerate mentally retarded renegade who calls me daily to tease out a few lines of paragraphs for his dubious clout chasing preoccupations that are targeted mainly at blackmailing Nigerians for pecuniary reasons.
I have just been informed that another of his angsts against me has been that I have refused to write pieces where his name would be superimposed as the author on local and any national issue, particularly in this electioneering period where he thought his ignorance and illiteracy should be the ultimate bliss and a moment for his financial breakthrough.
Therefore, I’m not in the dark as to his promptings for engaging hack writers — as usual — to smear my reputation for taking a decision to work for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Dr. Asue Ighodalo and Barrister Osarodion Ogie, just the same way he’s working for candidate, Olumide Akpata.
Ultimate Equal’s major challenge and undoing has been his inability to understand the meaning of freedom of choice and association in a free democratic space. It would be literally eviscerating to engage an inmate in a lunatic asylum with the definition of freedom of choice in the 21st century.
For a fact, Ultimate Equal truly deserves civil society’s emphaty, not so much for his harrowing and troubling existence — deprived of humanity and basic etiquette — but for being a moral pervert and the ruffian vanity of an adult in diapers.
One last admonition for Ultimate Equal now that his patch-patch existence has received a baptism of fire and a crescendo of terminal anticlimax. He should shun the genocidal gambit and apocalyptic activism of opportunism, fickleness and blackmail.
