Land Grabbing Crisis: Saturday Osayande And His Gang Allegedly Killed Victor Onaghise In Edo

UNREGULATED land dispute in Edo State has claimed yet another life and leaving several others wounded in the incessant land crises plaguing Edo South Senatorial District.

Reports reaching Trojan.com.ng revealed that one Mr Saturday Osayande of Uzalla and Evboikhuenbor Communities invaded Evboson Community, killing one Mr Victor Onaghise and injuring many others.

Mr Osayande and his accomplices were named as Iyen Timothy, Osagie Ero, Williams Osayomore onaghinor, Charles Ehimwenma, Shedrack omoruyi, Mathew Ehimwenma, Odion ogunrobo, Osarobo Ikponmwosa Aigbe, Osarodion Aigbe Agbotaen, Oyomwanbor omoragbon, all  from Uzalla and Evboikhuenbor Communities.

An eyewitness revealed to our correspondent that the tragic incident led to the death of Mr Onaghise while others were seriously injured.

“It was 10 am this morning when I got a call that Uzalla and Evboikhuenbor communities people spareheaded by Saturday Osayande and his gang ambushed some community people and killed the Vice Chairman.

“Victor Onaghise, and one Mr Dogo were also shot and we found out that Uzalla community people teamed up with Evboikhuenbor people crossing the boundary  separating the two communities, coming into the Evboikhuenbor and start selling their land.

“While they were trying to stop them from  selling their land because there was already an existing boundary between them they started shooting at them.

“In the process Mr Victor was killed and those that survived were taken to the hospital for treatment and the ones that didn’t survived are in the a mortuary at White Cross Hospital here in Benin City.

“The DPO in the there has mobilized his men to go in search of those responsible. That’s the situation on ground now”, an eyewitness who didn’t want his name in prints told our correspondent.
