In a tweet late Monday, Waje had teased a collaboration with Tems, and pleaded to her fans to convey her wishes to the Crazy Tings crooner.

“Imagine @temsbaby and I on track. Please, guys, whisper to her,” Waje had tweeted.

However, her tweet gathered mixed reactions as some knocked her “begging” Tems for a feature despite her being in the industry longer than Tems.

Waje made her debut into the music industry with a feature on P-Square’s “Do Me” in 2007, while Tems came to the limelight in 2019 after her single, “Try Me”.

Reacting to the tweet, @Ayoola50247910 tweeted, ” Waje, you’re the BEST Nigerian Vocalist I know! EVERY NIGERIAN ACT from @wizkidayo, @burnaboy, @davido etc. should be begging you to feature in their songs, but we are in Nigeria WHERE RUBBISH SELLS! Who’s Tems compared to Waje?”

Another tweep, @khanofkhans11_, said, “Waje is asking for a collab from Tems like an up-and-coming artiste. When she could have just reached out to her privately. A whole aunty in the industry. Even Tems will feel embarrassed.”

@Tee_Classiquem1 tweeted, “I don’t see anything wrong if Waje wants a collabo from Tems. The only issue I have with it is her approach. How about a DM or even mail? She is a legend and shouldn’t be moving like an upcoming act. Imagine Davido coming on Twitter to beg Asake or Fireboy for a collabo, it’s weird.”

However, some fans welcomed the idea and even claimed that the duo may already have a collaboration, adding that Waje’s tweet was just a teaser of their collaboration.

@AmandaG82268187 welcomed the idea of the collaboration, saying, ” It is sure going to be magical. I miss hearing you sing, Waje.”

“You have put her on the spot on already she can’t say no. It will make sense to see you and Tems on the same track,” @uglyyorubadboy assured Waje.

Knocking Waje’s critics, @olisaosega tweeted, “Waje publicly asking Tems for collaboration isn’t really a big deal. You all need to chill. I won’t be surprised if they are in the studio recording or if it has been recorded already. It’s not really that deep.”
