Kano 2023: I Will Emancipate Downtrodden From Shackles of Poverty, Starvation, Hunger, Gen Yakasai (rtd)

THE Kano State Gubernatorial Candidate under the platform of Allied People’s Movement (APM) General Ibrahim Sani Yakasai rtd has said if elected in the forthcoming election he will not work for his personal aggrandizement but for the rapid emancipation of the Talakawas from the shackles of poverty, starvation and hunger.
Yakasai who vowed to move Kano to greater heights if elected as the governor of the State posited that he would do everything possible to review the outdated social policies in order to give the poor man a clear sense of direction.
General Ibrahim Sani Yakasai (rtd) made the disclosure during a News Conference in Kano held at MAMBAYYA House yesterday.
Yakasai who traversed and gain military experience over the years and became a General in the Nigerian Army said he is going to give priority to the development of Health, Education, Agriculture, and infrastructural developments.
He wonder how the state is witnessing infrastructural decay and no remedy seems to be coming from the government .
General Yakasai said if elected as governor of Kano state the Health sector would be accorded much priority by way of bringing our best medical practitioners to come back from diaspora and give their contributions towards development of the State.
He maintained that his administration if elected would abolish the ministry of local government, aimed at curtailing duplication of responsibilities.
The APM Gubernatorial Candidate explained that providing the needed power for industries in Kano to achieve greater height would see the light of the day if given the mandate
” we will introduce adequate measures of generating power in the state , so that our industries would be revived and more job opportunities would be made available to our teeming youths “
General Yakasai maintained that other sectors like Agriculture, Commerce and Industry, tourism and youth empowerment .
