Deborah: I Will Organise National Parley For Muslims/ Christians In Kano –Ganduje
Kano, State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, is organizing a National Parley between the two notable faiths Islam and Christianity in order to strengthen peace in the ancient City.
The National Religious Parley that would be spare headed by the Emir of Kano according to the Governor, is aim at showcasing how Kano enjoys a long lasting peace between Muslims and Christians over the years.
Speaking while receiving the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero who was at Government House, Kano on Sunday after returning from Senegal where he received the highest National Award from their President Maky Sali, Ganduje, said the need for the party at this critical time of insecurity in Nigeria cannot not be overemphasize.
Governor Ganduje who commended Emir Aminu Ado Bayero for ensuring peaceful coexistence between the different faiths, said because of the role he has been playing he deserved to also be the Chief Organizer of forthcoming Parley.
Governor Ganduje further expressed happiness over the National Award received by the Emir of Kano in Senegal, reminding him that the long relationship between Kano and Senegal transcend Emir Abdullahi Bayero the Grandfather of the Emir.
Similarly, the Senegal President Maky Sali appointed the Emir of Kano the Ambassador of Country Ancient Slave trade routes City, after making him the Grand Tijjaniya Khalifa in Kano by the Wold Grand Immam of the Tijjaniya, Sheik Mahi Nyass.
Responding the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, said the award he received from the Senegalese President was for Nigeria and Kano State, adding it would go along way in strengthening the two Countries relationship.
Aminu Ado Bayero was in Senegal for almost a week attending series of events in his honour.
