BREAKING: NLC, TUC Suspends Nationwide Strike

THE Joint National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC) has announced the suspension of the ongoing nationwide strike.

The strike was initiated in protest against the alleged assault on the President of the NLC, Joe Ajaero, and other unresolved issues.

The decision to suspend the strike comes in the wake of the intervention by the Federal Government through the Office of the National Security Adviser (NSA).

Arising from the just concluded join NEC session of NLC and TUC to give consideration to the plea of Federal Government at a meeting held today at the office of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, the meeting resolved that the ongoing national Strike has been suspended.

The labor movement appreciates the commitments of workers towards the success of the industrial action. Workers are hereby directed to resume official functions from tomorrow Thursday 16th November, 2023.
