Borno Deputy Gov, Kadafur Attends Funeral Prayers Of Former RAMPOLY Rector, Late Babagana Tijjani

THE Deputy Governor of Borno State, Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur was among thousands of sympathizers that attended the funeral prayer of late Engr. Babagana Tijjani, an Elder brother to Secretary to the State Government, SSG.


Tijjani was a former Rector of Ramat Polytechnic Maiduguri who died yesterday night after a protracted illness.

The Funeral prayer was performed by chief Imam of Borno, Imam Zannah Laisu Ibrahim Ahmad.

The funeral prayer took place at his residence Old GRA, Maiduguri on Thursday.

The state Deputy Governor, Kadafur described late Tijjani as humble and committed personality.

The Deputy Governor and his entourage later attended similar funeral prayers of late Malama Zulai who was a worker at government house.

He expressed his condolences on behalf of Governor Babagana Zulum, Government and the people of Borno, even as he prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, and for their families the fortitude to bear the loss, as well as for Allah to grant them Aljannatul Firdausi.

The Deputy Governor was accompanied by the Head of Service Barrister Malam Fannami mni, Hon Commissioners of Intergovernmental affairs and Special duties, Hon.Tukur Ibrahim Shani, and that of Finance ministry, Hon.Ahmed Ali Ahmed.

Others are commissioners of Commerce trade and tourism, Hon.Tarpaya Asarya, Local Government and Emirate affairs, Hon. Sugun Mai Mele, Agriculture and Natural Resources,  Engr. Bawu Musami, Deputy Chief of Staff Alhaji Haruna Hassan Tela, Permanent Secretary Government House, Barrister Mustapha Ali Busuguma among other top government functionaries.
