Alleged Notorious Criminal, Omoregie Endurance Alias Ajala, Others Gun Runners Reminded In Benin Prison

AN ALLEGED notorious criminal named Omoregie Endurance Aka Ajala, Ogbeifun Anthony and Osaghele Awolo, and one Stanley Osayande who were arrested with one SMG riffle at Uppersakponba Road Benin city, all arrested by men of FIB-IRT Benin Annex were all reminded in prison custody yesterday in Benin City.

A social crusader who didn’t want his name in print commended the Inspector General of police and FIB-IRT team for refusing to bow to pressure and blackmail to grant the criminal suspects bail.

“Men of FIB-IRT have been professional in their conducts and discharge of their duty”‘, he said.

Those who are still at large are Arazo, Solution, Akobe, Romeo, Osakpanmwan, konky, Meshele, Destiny, and Festus Ekenaiye Edegbe, the arms and ammunition dealer.

The police authority appealed to the general public to provide useful information and contacts of the above persons or report same to the nearest police station for possible arrest and prosecution.

Trojan.com.ng reported earlier this month of the arrest and the detention order the Nigeria police obtained from the Edo State High Court to have Mr. Ajala detained for 21 working days.

In another development, one Mr. Tufa Mike was allegedly killed in Obayantor community and buried by a group of hoodlums loyal and fighting for Mr. Ajala to be made the Okaighele of the Community last week, while Mr. Ajala was still in police custody.

The incident occurred when another group led a forceful armed bandit to install one Mr. Osato who is also laying claims to the same Okaighele title of Obayantor.

An eyewitness account told Trojan.com.ng correspondent that in the course of the gun battle between the two factional groups the victim, Mr. Tufa Mike got missing in the process. Double barrel guns, pump-action rifles, and AK47s were allegedly used freely by the warring parties.

Efforts to get the two groups of the community to respond to the allegations proved abortive at the time of filing this report.
