Obi stated this in Abuja today in a statement signed by Dr Tanko Yunusa, his campaign Chief Spokesperson, and made available to truthlive.net.
The frontline presidential candidate spoke against the backdrop of the uproar caused by Peoples Democratic Party candidate Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s statement in Kaduna.
Recall that truthlive.net reported how Atiku Abubakar, in a viral video, stated that the North should vote for a Northerner rather than an Igbo or Yoruba candidate. Also the All Progressives Congress candidate, Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, had previously stated that it was the Yorubas’ turn to produce the president.
However, Obi, a Pan-Nigerian-Candidate who has captured the imagination of the youths nationwide and transformed their focus to a better Nigerian project through God’s power, has urged Nigerians of all hues, creeds, and tribes to look beyond our tribes and tongues and vote for a presidential candidate who will transform Nigeria from consumption to production.
He said partly, “There is insecurity everywhere in our dear country, Nigerians in the East, West, South and North are being terrorised by insurgents and bandits and we have witnessed killings and kidnapping nationwide.
“Obi is a solution provider and will if voted into power transform Nigeria to a progressive, united and prosperous nation.”
Obi promised that if Nigerians voted for him and his running mate, Yusuf Datti, they would mobilize all of the country’s human and material resources to address the country’s security and economic challenges.
He also stated that LP would run a people-centered government rather than one that favored a few elite at the expense of the majority of Nigerians.
Obi challenged Nigerians to look into his and his running mate’s educational backgrounds and track records, claiming that they have nothing to hide.
