2023 Elections: Collation Of Results Begin In Oyo Senatorial Districts, Federal Constituencies

COLLATION of results of the senatorial districts and federal constituencies election held in Oyo State on Saturday has commenced, Trojan.com.ng reports.

Our correspondent reports that thousands of residents of Oyo State had on Saturday trooped out en masse to vote for presidential and National Assembly candidates of their choice.

The presidential and National Assembly elections were held across the 33 local government areas in the state.

Trojan.com.ng gathered that though the collation of the presidential election has not started.

The three senatorial districts in Oyo include Oyo South which consists of nine local government areas, Oyo Central which has 11 local government areas and Oyo North which has 13 local government areas.

There are 14 federal constituencies in the state.

Our correspondent reports that the collation of results at the various collation centres in both Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts have begun in earnest.

The collation of results has started at Iseyin, the collation centre for Oyo North and Akinyele local government area, which is the collation centre for Oyo Central senatorial district.

The collation of results at Ikolaba High School, which is the collation centre for Oyo South, had not started as of the time of filing this report on Sunday.

Trojan.com.ng also reports that the collation of results in some of the federal constituencies has commenced.

The collation of results of the Ibadan North federal constituency is ongoing at Ikolaba High School in Ibadan.

Similarly, at the INEC office in the Ido Local Government Area, venue of the collation for the Ido/Ibarapa East federal constituency the collation of results is still ongoing as of the time of filing this report.

Trojan.com.ng gathered that collation is also ongoing at the remaining 12 federal constituencies in the state.
