UPDATED: Abuja Court Remands, Female, Civil Servant 45, On Defamation Suit

AN Abuja Area Court sitting in Mpape has directed that a middle aged woman of 45 years old with the name Ms. Ozavize Jimoh be remanded in prison custody pending when she meets her bail conditions.

This was sequel to a criminal defamation suit brought against her by the Nigerian Police against the President of Association of Nigerian (ANA) whom she refers to as ‘Bastard’ and ‘stupid’ in her social media page sometime in April 2020.
She was earlier charged the sum of N30,000 by an Abuja high court for not appearing with her lawyer in April 2021. Another accused with the name Sunday Dania is also said to be on police wanted list for libel.
Mr. Sunday is presently on the run and in hiding as he purportedly rejected a letter written to him by a lawyer from Abuja with respect to the case. However, the Nigeria police has laid seige on him for arrest whenever he is found.
The case has been adjourned for further hearing.

The accused has been granted bail with the sum of N1m, two directors from the federal ministry and must be verified by the police
