Tickets for the party were sold in three categories: regular tickets N20,000, VIP N500,000 and tables at N1million.

With the pre-event hype around Amber Rose, best known for dating Kanye West and marrying Wiz Khalifa, hosting the event, fans were stunned when the mother of one spent only seven minutes on stage.

“She arrived the venue at 12:35am and got on stage by 1.40am‎ and left the stage at about 1: 47 am,” a fan who attended the event told PREMIUM TIMES.

There are claims that the controversial American worked out on the show, reports Dbanj and his team are denying.

“Please be advised that Amber Rose did not storm out of the venue as indicated by some blogs. She arrived in Nigeria that same evening from another show in Amsterdam (5.50pm), went straight to her hotel, and then eventually came as D’banj’s date to the party,” a statement from D’banj’s publicist read.

The statement further claimed that Rose left the venue early due to fatigue following a long flight.

“Amber Rose did leave early because she was tired (long flights) and was escorted back to her nearby hotel by D’banj’s entourage and security,” the statement said.

She eventually didn’t host the party leaving D’banj’s hype man, Jimme, to do the damage control.

Rose however tried to learn the ‘shoki’ dance during her time on stage.

Other guests at the event were stars, Olamide, Praiz, Davido, BankyW, ‎Wizkid, and a few other celebrities.

Meanwhile, D’banj, who seems to be having a rut when it comes to releasing singles, may have finally got his groove back.

His latest single, Feeling the N*gga, featuring Akon seems to be doing well, getting great reviews from critics. The song is gradually rocking the radio airwaves in Lagos.
